1. In 5 minutes, establish a 3-rep-max deadlift

Scaling:
Newer athletes should focus on maintaining sound mechanics on the deadlift triple, and reduce the distance on the run effort. Experienced athletes can choose to complete all six events and see where they stack up. Post to comments.

Total: 311


For SPT there was not enough space above so had to throw a little flatter. Otherwise would have thrown a little more far. In drag, put plates on one side of bench and then dragged the bench. There was not much space in the gym had only 12.5m at max, so had to turn 3 times and while turning had to pick the bench up and then had to set the weight again which took way more time. Could have then this atleast 1 min less.

* only 10lb weight I have was a bag of grass seed. Bag exploded on first throw. 2nd throw was 20lb med ball, about 1.5 meters short.

SDC 2:02. Wondered why I was getting whooped on this... missed the detail that I threw 90 lbs onto a 65lb sled, so i was trying sprint drag my body weight which was more of a drrraaag than a sprint.

As Rx’d as possible, except I used a 20# med ball for throws, 100lb heavy bag for the drag, and 2 40lb bags of salt for the carry.

Had to scale/sub a little

3RM DL - 275# (regular BB, no hex available) - 92

Had the juice but it didn't seem worth the risk to my back going above 275 on a regular BB in the grass. SPT was strange, so with some practice I could do better I'm sure. Yesterday's push-ups probably impacted today's, but I didn't dig out for the HRPs either to take it easy on the elbow. Pretty sure an extra 5# each KB wouldn't have made that much difference on SDC time so I counted as full points. Could have gone longer on the plank but that is the max score for a test I have to do this summer so decided to stop there. The run was...well, the run.

Trying to put off hip replacement for as long as I can, so most workouts are scaled and AMA. Completed pieces of the ACFT in globo gym.

Did this in 2022 at age 62. The test then used the hanging leg tuck instead of the plank. 20 reps was a max score, I did 15.

As RXd as I could but needed to substitute some equipment in the home gym:


No trap bar, used standard bar.

No sled, used bumper plate pulley and handles on a piece of cardboard and slid across my driveway, came off a few times, not ideal so that score is questionable.

No 40 lb KB's, used 50 lb DB's.


Deadlift - 225-275-295-310 (no more weight at home, had about 2 minutes left in the 5, also read that it was only supposed to be two attempts...)

Throw - 18.5 m (assuming you count with roll, otherwise I have no idea where it landed)

Push-ups - 37 (100 yesterday didnt help...)

Sprint-Drag-Lateral-Carry-Sprint - 1:22

Max Plank Hold - 2:16 (I felt great about this until I saw the scoring!)

2-Mile Run - 14:06 (felt great about this one!)


ACFT Score (Male 36) - 91 + 100 + 83.5 + 100 + 78.5 + 98.5 = 551.5

Standard weightlifting barbell for the Deadlifts

No sled and no KB, so perfomed a DB carry instead of the sled pull.


120kg (264 lbs) Deadlift

~11 m Standing Power Throw

39 reps Hand-release push-ups

1:29 Sprint-carry-carry

3:33 plank hold

18:53 2 miles run
