Scaling:
Ideally, each set will be as heavy as possible for 5 reps, but newer athletes should start light and slowly add weight as they are comfortable.
I question the second point on "Loose Fingertip Grip". I mean, it can be done...but if you are a cleaner (Oly) I do not think it should be done. Thoughts?

I used to feel this way too, but now I don't. If someone doesn't have excellent wrist flexibility, then forcing a full grip is going to roll the bar forwards and limit how heavy they can lift. If your goal is to front squat heavy, then a loose grip is OK. If instead you are using the front squat as an assistance exercise to the clean, then you need flexible wrists and should consider a full grip.

195-200-205-210-215 (2 reps then bailed because I felt like I was going to sleep in a bad way if I kept the bar on my shoulders)
Felt super weak and I’m betting it’s the sedative hydroxizine hcl I took in the wee morning hours because I couldn’t sleep…still drowsy…Also despite resting at least 4-6m between sets my HR was jacked before each set. Belted after 200lb. In lifting shoes. 275lb. Is my 1rm. Did a few power cleans at 195 afterward and it felt like 225. No warmup, just build up: 5each at 45,95,145.

Did this the day after i did "death by OH squats"! Unwise!
I filmed my lifts. On the 3rd set I noticed I was marginally breaking parallel. I made some adjustments to get deeper in sets 4 and 5. If you don't film your lifts get in the habit of doing it every once in awhile. If only so you know how your lifts look.
5@ 85lbs. Tried 95 but mechanics went to crap so I dialled back like the video demo said. glad I did.

2 hours in the surf to include kayaking then did sets of 5-10 reps while cleaning up from the beach and washing cars. Worked my way from 45-155# in 10# increments. Couldn't get into a front rack, right elbow just wasn't having it, so I crossed hand to grip the bar and rested the bar on my shoulders.

215 was a push and felt a little on the edge. Didn't want to hurt myself so called it after 2 reps at 225.

Globo wod: If you have bumpers, bar and rack you are all set. If you are using iron plates today use squat rack safety pins or bars, or have a spotter. Dumbbell sub db front squats 5-5-5-5-5, if you max the available dumbbells do AMRAP sets. Another option is to work on weighted pistols if you have the skill level.
Bodyweight sub: spend 15-20 minutes working on pistols or scales of the pistol squat. If you have objects to weight the pistols use them and hold them if you have the skill down.
