434 reps in 20m, misread the WOD. Unbroken pushups fell off at 77 reps, then did 12, and 2’s on round 5. Fasted and no warmup whatsoever. 16 cal short of 5 rounds...


Last time 496 reps...Would’ve PR’d today but it wasn’t easy and I transitioned fast and did sit-ups unbroken except 1 quick break of less than 5 seconds round 4....pushups were fast except maybe took :45 to do 20 in round 5...rowed at about 1000 cal/hr most of the way, faster the first and last rounds. Didn’t reset the rower between rounds. 5 more min of pushups and sit-ups later I guess:


went 5 m more when I got back to Emma’s but with 1 lunge each leg in place of a calorie. Started where I left off, and finished round 5, 6 and got 28 reps into round 7.

First time trying this one.

As Rx: early morning WOD in basement. Almost no warm up and very little pre stretching before this one. I just wanted to get it done to be honest... but I was also kind of curious where and how I would feel it. I typically row in rounds of 250m and sometimes 500m repeats as well.

I completed 5 rounds plus 12 sit ups. (5 + 32)

For me, the rowing was the hard part. I tried to and did stay pretty even throughout. I typically go out a little slower than I think I can go and as I warm up I get faster, but I'm also then battling the fatigue as I go on as well.

I think I might be able to complete 6 rounds next time. I was pretty even on the rowing and throughout as well. Push ups were by far the easiest part.

Everything done unbroken.

As I got fatigued, I would row hard for say 13 hard pulls and then take a few easier pulls and then get back into it pulling hard again.

Good workout overall. I often play around with repeat rounds for a time like 20 minutes of alternating between rowing say 250 m or 500 m and then HSPUs or push ups, DB PP, etc. It's a nice mix up and this was also. I liked the mixing in of the sit ups as that closes the hips and rowing opens that joint up. I like opposites in that sense when programming.

Just grind it out.  Unbroken push-ups until last round 15-5.  Couple of small breathers in sit-ups.  Rows were the hardest part.

Nothing to rant about


WORKOUT THEMES

Long and light. Stamina and endurance the main points of emphasis, a little more shaded towards stamina. Pushing at midrange, changing orientation/pulling from the hips, and monostructural are also themes.


ASSUMED

Push-ups and sit-ups have a cardio effect


MAIN DECISION

Pace the movements and go for best overall score, or push the limits of stamina and endurance and live with whatever happens?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

As is


CONSISTENCY SCALE

As is, push-ups and sit-ups have to be unbroken
