In 1981, Coach B was using the same process to teach the Olympic lifts as he does today — top down, junkyard dog, incentivizing good technique, and the Burgener warm-up — although at that time, it wasn’t called the Burgener warm-up.

While Coach B’s teaching methods and weightlifting course have evolved over the years, the foundation remains the same.
