I’m not a crossfitter by any means. I follow the site to look for short fun metcons here or there to add on to my normal routine as cardio. Seen this pop up and thought hey those are movements I can actually do maybe I’ll try. Man my cardio sucks. It probably wasn’t smart to do after my full upper body workout either. I needed some breaks and thought I might need a puke bag but I’m proud I finished.

Yesterday I couldn’t finish RX (177 reps)

today retested RX 12:30 thanks to my friend to encouraged me to do it RX and brought me into this beautiful (and sometimes painful sport)

35's are the heaviest I have at home, but not sure I would have hit the same time with Rx weight despite the snatches almost feeling like a little break at times. All snatches unbroken and I paced myself on the burpees out the gate (not that I'm fast at them anyway). I'm sure that kept me from completely gassing out in the beginning. Doing our bulletproof workout the day before did not help.

Pain.  Tried to race the pain to the finish – it caught me around minute 7.  Mostly unbroken snatches, a short break here and there in the rounds of 15 and even 9.  Started burpees jumping back and stepping up, but eventually had to step back as well.  Maybe went out a bit too hot.  Splits for the rounds of 21-15-9 were – 5:15, 4:00, 2:15.

Very happy with my performance considering I "mostly kept moving" during a burpee intensive workout and only around 2 weeks into CF again. Post workout recovery is improving too, was worried about how this one would feel afterwards lol

True to form, I did our Friday Bulletproof workout instead. I fully intend on doing 24.1 either later today if able or tomorrow.


For time

2km row (C2, drag 5) – did in 7:30

For each station, you had to complete all 24 reps before moving on to the next. You could do them in any order, this was just the order I did it in, mostly based on what gear was available at the time.


Today is the 24th birthday of our guy who came up with this, hence the 2,000m row and 24 reps each of each movement.

Globo wod: If possible let's do this in an affiliate. Check out map.crossfit.com and find one near you. Reach out to the box and see when you can get a time to go in and do the WOD with one of the classes, or Friday Night Lights. Failing that, this one is tailored for in the globo gym, many hotel gyms, and even cruise ships, as they all have a 35/50lb dumbbell you can use. Go to Games.crossfit.com for movement, equipment, and filming standards, and read them carefully. I suggest having someone judge you, and to do the workout at a time or area that it's not busy in the globo so filming isn't an issue. As this one only requires a dumbbell and space for burpees over said dumbbell everyone should be able to do one of the posted versions of this. Good luck and have fun.
