Scaling:
This workout demands we keep moving by smartly managing a large number of reps per set. Aim to complete this workout within 20 minutes. Use your warm-up to experiment with pull-ups, push-ups, GHD sit-ups, and single-leg squats. Choose a variation that allows each movement to be completed at a sustainable pace without reaching failure.

Bit off more than I could chew on this one.  Thought I had a good plan for pull-ups.  Sets of 5, use the gymnastic grips so I don’t tear.  Well by the time I hit 60, I was tearing under the grips.  By 80, I had to do singles.  Pull-ups alone took me 18 minutes.  GHDs were also very tough today – first set of 30, but then mostly 5’s and 10’s from there.  Pistols were ugly after all that – probably did not hit depth on all of them.  Did all this outside, just a brutal one today.

Just a volume chipper today. Scaled GHD to ABSitUps, and pistols to BoxStepUps. PullUps strict as usual. Good changeup with ReleasePushUps.


Just broke a sweat on a tired Sunday morning after an exhausting day of work. Didn't sprint, but didn't really rest besides sipping water. Wanted to run 2 tempo miles after this workout, but today just wasn't the day. Checked the box and moving on with life.

Still has to learn kipping pull-ups as no one has taught me so very slow on that.

Ghd sit-ups were from mid row bench with legs to pad and legs till hips were on bench rest like ghd only

Pull-ups by far the hardest part for me. I do 25 GHDs unbroken every day as part of my warmup, yet can’t imagine 100 in a workout absent multiple, long breaks, especially for those who don’t do them regularly.

GHDs just weren't going to be a thing today because of time of day and available gear. Thanks to Steven T for the pistol sub suggestion. And, I don't have C2B pull-ups like that, but many of mine were strict today. Was thinking about Chris S's questions again before doing this and decided I wanted to preserve the volume and the ROM (as much as possible) allowing time to suffer. In comparison, my last Angie was 18:56 with only doing 70 pull-ups.

Intermediate reps. at the Y. No GHD, subbed DB feet anchored perpendicular bench sit-ups and did my usual assisted pistols using an assist at the bottom to start the ascent.

Globo wod: Mega Angie anyone? Sub for GHD situps are 2/1 abmat situps, or 1/1 vups or stick abmat situps. If you don't do GHD situps often or are not used to the volume scale reps or substitute today. Uncle Rhabdo isn't to be messed with. If you are not proficient in Pistols today do Pistols to a box, or weighted box/bench stepups 35/50 dumbbell to a 20/24" box, scaling from there. If the pullup bar isn't conducive to kipping do an equal number of strict pullups. Hand release pushups today.
