2 hspu short of 5 rounds with 10 rowing calories per round (rolled to 11 then reset)

damper at 1 to decrease efficiency per stroke to motivate faster/more strokes.

Subbed AirDyne bike.  7 rounds + 8 HSPU.


Started breaking HSPUs in round 3.  Probably could have pushed the bike a bit harder to save time.  HSPUs went away mostly from stamina I think.

2+14 - Rx (Kept the bike at a 70-75RPM, putting the 10cals at just over 30 seconds. First set of SHSPU was 3-3-3-1, second set was 2-2-2-1-1-1-1, and then 1s in the end. Certainly tough to rep those out with a high rate. #takethatoxidative #phosphagenpathwayforlife )

Honestly the knee pushups were a little too easy- totally unbroken. Probably could have done regular pushups, but I suppose this scale let me get back on the rower more often and keep this feeling like a metcon/heavy breather.

Used rower in place of bike and HSPU were mostly strict other than some half kips to get off ground when stuck. Not sure why I couldn't get more reps today.(first round was 0:48🤷🏻‍♂️)

As rx'd. 10 rounds done in 9:12. 11th was a bust, didn't get the hspu done.


Lying in a sweaty heap after it.


Aimed for 40secs rounds to start. Then as fatigue set in took more breaths between echo and hspu. Went for 80% full speed echo bike which allowed for recovery before next round.

Being asthmatic I found the breathing after the bike the hardest to get back but can see how lactic would take our arms and legs out.

Totally new here so any help would be appreciated.


Is there anywhere to actually watch what the work out of the day is? So far I'm finding bits and pieces and trying to tie them together, much less to find substitute pieces based on my abilities. I have found the movement page (unable to sort, so not sure if that's a thing to help locate a movement) but unable to find half the movements listed in some of these prior work outs. Thanks so much

Champions Club Scaling Notes


RANT

Kinda an odd experience tonight. I coach basketball at a local high school, and tonight we played against one of my favorite kids from the gym. We lost, Chase played pretty well, so it was an odd mix after the game. Earlier this year it was the exact opposite: we won and Chase didn't play well. Two more years of this weirdness.


WORKOUT THEMES

Short and... I'd say heavy, but stamina plays a he factor in intensity. Using cardio/resp. fatigue to challenge my coordination/pushing strength.


ASSUMED

Strict handstand push-ups can add to the cardio feel of a workout


MAIN DECISION

Keep the strict hspu or keep the intensity?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 20 minutes:

Run 200 meters

5 slow handstand descents


CONSISTENCY SCALE

10 rounds of:

Bike 10 calories

Max reps strict handstand push-ups

*rest 1 minute between rounds


INTENSITY SCALE

As is, scale to kipping hspu, or dumbbell push press


MY STUFF

Did 2x down/backpedal back and 4 strict handstand push-ups. 8 rounds + a shuttle run
