Chest-to-bar pull-ups, 12 rounds + 10.


This is 1 round off my best.  Feel okay – started breaking in round 5, and was hoping to do 3’s in later rounds.  But lost rhythm on the kip and had to do 2’s and then a lot of singles at the end.  Did this with Ian (16yo); he did assisted pull-ups with red band, got 14 rounds.

Ive been working out at home since lockdown. I started doing the CF old school warm up of 3 rounds Sampson stretch, 10 OHS, 10 Supermans, 10 ab-mat sit-ups, 10 pull-ups, 10 bar dips. It has greatly improved my pull-ups, and stability in OHS

WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

Pull-up - overhead pulling with skill (global extension/core-to-extremity)


MAIN DECISION

Are my pull-ups good enough to make this format work well?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 20 minutes of:

Run 200 meters

15 kips (maybe add a little pull as long as you can keep the rhythm)


CONSISTENCY SCALE

Same format, sub a movement you're pretty good at and do pull-ups in the warmup.


INTENSITY SCALE

5 rounds of

Sprint 200 meters

Max reps pull-ups

rest 4 minutes between sets


INJURY SCALE

Upper-body - consistency scale, maybe with jumping lunges or squats, or shuttle runs


MY STUFF
