RX, but I had a little rest walking to the bar & back to the jump rope. My rope was inside on smooth concrete & my barbell was out on the drive way. Shoulders & triceps are still sore from yesterday! 😂

C&J were squat clean and push jerk. Probably could have squeezed out more reps if I had done power cleans, but I wanted the practice with the squat. Didn't do this in '07 so no compare to, nice WOD.

♂ 95 lb. 504 reps (dam took me 5 tries to post) I alway keep track of my heart beat s on my Apple Watch and usually I am 127 to 156 depending on work out.Today got up to 172 ! I practice DU’s every day always warm up with them.

Pretty low number. I am still learning DU and those numbers do not include a string that was longer than 10. Happier with the C&J which were more taxing than expecting. Good workout!

No barbell today, burpees seemed like a good full-body sub, strict close-grip pushups on each burpee. Scaled to singles based on volume

WORKOUT THEMES

Jumping with elasticity and jumping with weight, also a major stamina factor that decreases slightly as it goes on to help preserve some intensity


MAIN DECISION

How am I going to keep my attention span for 5 minutes on a single movement?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

As is


CONSISTENCY SCALE

INTENSITY SCALE

8 rounds of:

10 clean and jerks

Max reps double unders

*rest as needed between rounds


INJURY SCALE

Upper-body - Look at the intensity scale, just maybe do dumbbell snatch instead of barbell stuff

Lower-body - c&j can be broken down into parts if needed; instead of a traditional monostructural movement subbed for jump ropes it might be good to find something with more of an accuracy component - Wallballs, turkish get-ups - and if you can't make that work then maybe a couplet of deadlift and push presses


MY STUFF

Used the first two rounds as warmups and then hit 60/12 in the minute rounds. I tried to keep my butt squeezed during double unders to work on my midline position... it makes it a lot more difficult as of now. I'll keep working on it.
