Row about 1:57 pace, but didn’t start dubs until 6:15 or so.  Tough day for DUs – just could not string them well.  They took well over 4 minutes.  Run was better, first mile right around 8 minutes, and was able to come in about 3:30 for the last ½ mile.

Row was 5:25 and run was an awful (for me) 11:50, so that means it took me a terrific (sarcastic sigh) 6:44 for transitions and DUs and transitions were minimal. I could have burned through 300 singles pretty quick, but I was determined to do every last DU. And to punish myself for such inadequate performance on Dubs, I awarded myself 50 more after finishing the WOD. Can't get better at DUs without doing them so today was a great opportunity - chalk it up to practice.

What jump rope does the garage gym crowd recommend? I use Again Faster ropes, it's usually a handful of times before the little screw/pin falls off and I'm left holding just a handle. There's probably 7 of these screws strewn about my driveway/bushes.

I like the RX gear jump rope pretty well--

John- I got my rope off Amazon for about $30. It says sonic boom on the handle. No screws and hasn’t given me any problems other than when I forget to bring it with me.

I spent a little extra and got the Bridges SR-2 Speed Rope 3.0 and some extra wires, because I got tired of replacing ropes I could get at the local sporting goods places every few months. It's been a great rope for me, but hasn't helped my Dubs - still suck at those.

RX attempt but capped the DUs at 3 minutes. At the Y and air assault is broken. Used treadmill at 1.0 incline.

I wanted to ask if 8min (as in the EOD) is really a tough time cap for the rower, wanted to ask if it shouldn’t be 6min. But here it says 7min, I can live with that

300su with a shitty fat rope, because mine is at a different place

2.5k run on a small treadmill

Total 32min


Rowing is my „biggest strength“ and running my biggest weakness. I should have scaled to hit the time target. But because it‘s my weakness, I have bought this small treatmill and I try to run 1-2 a week.
