Workout of the Day

43

For time, partition any way:
Run 1 mile
100 toes-to-bars

Post time to comments.

Scaling:
When we see “partition any way” in a workout description, it means the athlete has the freedom to create their own structure. You may break up the run effort and toes-to-bars however allows you to complete the work most efficiently.

Beginner Option:
For time, partition any way:
Run 800 meters
50 hanging knee raises

Rx 20:15

Partitioned: 8 rounds 16 T2B and 200m run 1st round, 12 T2B and 200m run remaining rounds. T2B were definitely the limiting factor - grip and shoulders went before the core.

4 rounds of 20 T2B and ¼ mile run, with a finisher of 20 T2B at the end.  Was able to go 10-10 on the T2B each round until I lost the kip at 96, went 10-6-4 last round.  Runs were not particularly fast, trying to recover a bit.

I did that recently. I ran 2 loops @ 2 miles when we were only suppose to run 1. I was the only one in the group to run 4 miles. Oops! 🫣 I suck at judging distance & reading workouts sometimes. But I hate running so my heart ❤️ & attitude were in the right place!

Beginner Option:

For time, partition any way:

Run 1,609 meters (1 mile)

40 hanging knee raises

I broke this up into 4 sets…run qtr mile/10 raises.

Anything “hanging” kills my left shoulder so these were tough.

Chris, I always use arm straps (mine are from the perfect pull-up company) for TTB or KTE, b/c they just shred my shoulders, too. I think I get the same core stimulus, but with far less stress to the shoulder joints and muscles.

Globo wod: subs for runs are 2000m row, 100 calories assault or echo bike, or 100 burpees total. If you are using a conventional treadmill use a slight incline. Sub for toes to bar are v ups or 2/1 abmat situps. If possible if you are doing the v up sub hold a stick or pipe in your hands and bring your feet/legs to it. Remember you can break this up any way you want as long as you complete the work. Busy gym: do it straight through with toes to bar first, then run or sub second.
