Scaling:
Reduce the reps and load so you can complete each round quickly and in nearly unbroken sets. Each round should be a sprint, with rest occurring only in the 3 minutes between rounds. Reduce the total number of rounds to maintain speed rather than slogging through all 5.

paré porque me caí del pace.


lo hice afuera en la vereda de mi barrio en agronomía.


la gene molestó poquito.


lo que más me frenó ese día fue subestimar un poco el peso.


cuando lo miré dije eso va a pesar como 90 en Diane. Pero al final decidí que 60 iba a ser demasiado para encadenar las 30.


me incliné por dejar 50 kilios a la barra. Pero no fueron 50 kilitos.


Fueron 50 kilitos de levantadas apuradas de carbones calientes para ir a llevar a un asado que no se iba a hacer.


Es mi forma poéica de decir que entrenar rodeado de personas que aunque no molesten no comparen la inclinación o el inerés por hacerlo conmigo es muy diferente a hacerlo junto a amigos como batu y la pochi. Yo los llamo los pochos.


Fue mi primera vez con Barbara ann. Espero poder sosener al menos 4 rondas el pace en la próxima, o al menos caerme más adelante.


Gran entrenamiento, que lo disfruten.

Scaled those handstands with 2 plates of 25 and an abmat, did kipping HSPU to practice technique, abmat situps as strict as possible, everything else rx

Scaled big time due to heat and missing back squats yesterday /planning to run tomorrow and I don’t want the unnecessary added volume of double unders on my shabby deltoid ligament. The heat and increased volume of hspu over last time made it hard enough for me anyway today at 88 degrees. Situps unbroken, and minimized arm swing.

completed 7/6 a.m. scaled rep count back on HSPU to 10 reps and DU to 30.

had to drop the bar on deadlifts in later rounds. DU's got rough as well on the higher times. HSPU strict as much ROM I felt comfortable with.

Beginner-ish Scale, no rests between rounds

20 DL, 35# dbs (70#)

No rest periods!

Forgot to rest 3 min between rds. Probably would have done 5 rds if I had rested between. 3 straight through was a nice WOD, right on the edge of tough without any major slow downs or breaks.

Everything unbroken but DUs (tripped less in rds 3&4). Did a 5th round after just because, didn't time it.

Nothing to rant about


WORKOUT THEMES

Gymnastics, weightlifting, monostructural. High output followed by decently long rest. A different version of a classic benchmark, kinda a gimmick format that still packs a potent dose.


SHORT MEDIUM LONG

COORDINATION SCALE

5 rounds of:

20 deadlifts

2:00 double under practice

2:00 handstand practice


STAMINA SCALE

As listed, no rest between rounds (intensity will suffer), but allow more rest between exercises so they can be done unbroken


SPEED SCALE

Sub dumbbell strict press for hspu and sub short plate jumps for double unders. Work on actual speed of the movement (not transition, the concentric phase) for sit-up and deadlift


MY STUFF

Caught up a bit today, so did back squats this morning and then did 3 rounds of this in the afternoon, but played around with a few variations


GENERAL FEAR LEVEL: I said 8 last time, but I might say 7 now, though I haven't done this as listed yet.
