164 - Rx (Got through the 6 deadlifts on the way down. This one was pretty bad. Finished the round of 10 burpees right at the 5-minute mark, and then started taking way to big of breaks between the burpees and deadlifts. Surprisingly my upper-back and shoulders were hit more than my lumbar and hams.)

Subbed bar bell jump overs and push-ups for burpees.

intended to do Rx for age, realized on the set of 6 on way down that only had 165 on bar. Added 20 lbs to get to 185 for set of 5 on down.

Had hoped to get further, but this was all I had today.  Unbroken deads through 8 then in two chunks.  Thought I kept moving during bar-facing burpees, but clearly they were slower than I wanted.

164 - Rx (Woof. This is through the 6 deadlifts on the way back down. Made it through the 10's at about the 5-minute mark on the dot, then immediately had to take giant breaks before deadlifts. Those burpees did something mean.)

15:51 through finish of the 2nd round of 6. 85 total reps of each. Finished the round of 10 at about 9:50, decided to keep going for a while. Pretty worn out from work so scaled DL to 155, only did regular burpees due to space limitations at home. Great workout.

Thought the burpees would be the bad part, nope, deadlifts were much worse. Had to start breaking up sets on the round of 8. Those high numbers got s l o w. Will try again this weekend filmed and see if I can push a little faster.

RANT

Nothing to rant about


WORKOUT THEMES

Short and medium. Squatting with an emphasis on midline and jumping with big ROM and changing orientation. A test part of a bigger picture. Stamina and coordination.


ASSUMED

Deadlifts can be unbroken if needed


MAIN DECISION

Do this as part of a test, or scale for a different purpose?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

10 deadlifts

8 burpees


CONSISTENCY SCALE

For time:

75 deadlifts

75 burpees


INTENSITY SCALE

As is, regular burpees, scale deadlift weight to make it unbroken
