I love that CrossFit is narrowing the focus on health but, as a Clinical & Health Psychologist it pains me that psychology isn't joining the narrative. The very definition of health includes mental wellness and CrossFit should also aspire to help alleviate negative symptoms and disorders that are affecting the general population (anxiety, depression, addiction, etc.). Because it's proven its positive effect in that sense!
I started a blog in November to talk about psychology applied to CrossFit in hopes of bridging the gap between the both of them.

Commented on: Peter C. Gøtzsche: Death of a Whistleblower and Cochrane’s Moral Collapse
Cochrane in my mind had always been a symbol for scientific integrity. It's a shame to hear from someone so integral in their original values that this may no longer be the case. Furthermore, this points to the need to revamp and revalue the scientific process and the importance of transparency in the research world.
