30

Rinse ‘N’ Repeat(ish)
Every 2 minutes for as long as possible:

50-yard swim
8 burpees*

*Add 2 burpees each round until you cannot complete the reps within the 2-minute interval.

If you cannot get to a pool, lake, or other water source, sub for a run of similar length.

Post rounds and reps completed to comments.


Scaling:
The first few rounds should be achievable, so if necessary reduce the swim length or start with a lower number of burpees.

Intermediate Option:
Every 2 minutes for as long as possible:
50-yard swim
2 burpees*

*Add 2 burpees each round until you cannot complete the reps within the 2-minute interval.

Beginner Option:
Every 2 minutes for as long as possible:
25-yard swim
1 burpee*

*Add 1 burpee each round until you cannot complete the reps within the 2-minute interval.

Finally made up 8/24/23...but Misread..did 60y (back&forth in 10y pool with no kickoff)/8 burpees each round until failure of the 2 min clock... didn't add burpees to each round. Oh well...got 8+60/6

0.5 mile Echo 8 burpees per. 2.51 mile 58 burpees 4+14 rounds

Didn’t have it today

Afternoon I did 250m row 8+2 per, 7 rounds 98 total burpees

Wife .25 mile Echo 2+2 per 6 rounds 42 total burpees

I did this one today bc my gym was doing a bench mark I didn’t have the equipment for right now. I did the 8 burpees but with a one minute rest every round. Also I subbed the swim for single unders of about the same time. 2 + 60

100 meter run on sand

10 Push-ups, adding 2 push-ups every round.


9 rounds, with 20 push-ups completed on the final round instead of 26. 156 push-ups total, first 52 strict, remaining ones kneeling push-ups.


2.5 km run as warm-up, same distance to cool down

WORKOUT THEMES

Gimmick of sorts, kinda in the odd object realm (swimming instead of the traditional monostructural stuff). I view this from the outside as a test to see 1) your ability to suffer and 2) your ability to pace. I also have no idea how long it would take to swim 50 years.


SHORT MEDIUM LONG

HEAVY


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 20 minutes of:

Run 400 meters

15 burpees


CONSISTENCY SCALE

Every 4 minutes for as long as possible:

Swim 100 yards

16 burpees (increase by 4 each time)


INTENSITY SCALE

As listed, but rest 2 minutes between rounds


MY STUFF

I tested out the 90's Theme Workout for tomorrow. The Macarena station was rougher than expected.
