5 rounds plus 50 dubs rx’d. with only 3 seconds to spare. Unbroken farmers carries without hook grip. Tougher than expected. Took one intentional rest about halfway through double unders rounds 2-4. One or two accidental trips most rounds. Kept tripping on #5. Round 6 dubs unbroken!

No rope (and no jumping rope skills anyway) and only 15 kg DBs available, so I did:

Torrential downpour at workout time so I did amrap 10: 15 DB HPC, 50 dubs. Awful. My arms are dead. Mainsite always gets you with those. 5 rounds.

Scaled option using 35# plates (no DBs/KBs)

4rds +35 DU + 10m farmer carry (almost finish round 5 in time)


Finished the remaining 90m at 10:50. A good bit of fire in the forearms and shoulders. DUs were a bit better today, but need to keep working at them as they took the most time due to tripping up. Nice WOD!

25# Farmers carry. It’s the heaviest I have.


so close! I was hustling hard that last round. I was able to break up the DU to 15/15/10/10 If I try to do 20 rep rounds I fail more often. Next time hustle more on the farmers carry and make sure that my rests between double unders are shorter.

Scaled back DU to 35 as I cannot string them together consistently, but getting better! Kept weight and distance on the carry. First carry was unbroken, round 2 split 50m:50m.

WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENTS

Double under themes - jumping, muscle-tendon elasticity, accuracy, not enough stamina to stop

Farmers walk themes - large load long distance, pulling, anatomical position, not enough stamina to stop


MAIN DECISION

Do I want shoulder stamina to play a factor?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 20 minutes of:

Run 200 meters (not sprint)

2:00 double under practice


CONSISTENCY SCALE

2 rounds of:

Max distance farmers walk

2:00 max double unders


INTENSITY SCALE

Decrease distance o farmers walk, do touch-and-go box jumps instead of double unders


INJURY SCALE

Upper-body - technique scale

Lower-body - sub burpees for double unders, or any other movement you can do at full capacity and a decently high intensity


MY STUFF

Intensity scale. Did 2 rounds of the full thing before realizing my shoulders would cut the intensity down. 20 box jumps per round.
