Was much worse than I thought it would be. Been ravaged by Post-COVID shortness of breath (ravaged from a Crossfit performance perspective- normal life performance is ok), so it's been a slow, start/stop journey getting back into workouts. Needless to say, in my opinion, my strength and stamina is down by some margin.
12 rounds so 24 reps at RXd weight.
Had 10 in my head so happy to go a few over. Never squat cleaned this heavy before.

Lifted+yesterday’s row/GHD workout. Results there.
I don’t comment very often anymore and I only ever read a few of the comments. I miss reading posts from some of the old guys, bingo especially. But since this was an old word I figured I’d comment. Back in’11 I was (i think) about a year into CrossFit. I did 12 rounds (24 reps) back then. I’ve been up and down since then...up then down for multiple injuries...now sort of up again. I’m no longer at my peak but got 21 full squat C&Js so 42 reps total. That’s a PR as far as I can tell and I’ll take it. Oh and both’11 and ‘21 were at #135.
Outstanding! Tremendous fitness gains while aging is the way to go.
I did this in 2011 for the open. Did as Rx at age 43 but I can't find how many reps I got. Determined to try today as Rx at age 53. Got one full set plus a clean - that was it.

Confused a bit on the counting...but for me a squat clean and jerk was 1 rep. Looks like some people are calling that a round.

Feeling weary, not from exercise, but rather from low activity throughout the day.
As usual, felt much better after WOD + a 3 km warm-up run just before.
Did some more reps to hit 50 rounds.

Champions Club Scaling Notes
RANT
I read this as a squat clean and jerk as one motion, just making sure it's some kind of push/split jerk and not a press. So with how small the time cap is, it's assumed that the technique and cycling is a reflex. If you're technique is good like that, then Whoa Nelly you have a decision to make. If you look at the time and weight and aren't scared out of your mind, then it would either be a good idea to scale the weight down (for intensity) or add time (for technique)
WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Squat clean and jerk - jumping twice with moderate weight in the most miserable full range of motion possible
MAIN DECISION
Do I want to go to "that place" today?
TECHNIQUE SCALE
As close to rx weight as possible, do 50 reps and lose the timer.
CONSISTENCY SCALE
AMRAP in 15 minutes of:
4 squat cleans
4 push/split jerks
INTENSITY SCALE
As is, drop the weight down
INJURY SCALE
I think it's pretty difficult to get to a high intensity with a short workout when injured, so I'd look to change the intention.
Upper-body injury - 15 squat jumps, 10 dumbbell push press, 15 minutes
Lower-body injury - 2:00 bike, 1:00 push-up/handstand push-up, 5 rounds
MY STUFF
Man I am just not feeling it. I figured I didn't have the juice to do this one as listed, but I thought I could do Grace at a high intensity, so I tried that. I got 15 reps in and called it there. Movement quality was down too. I am going to take a half cycle or two.
