Frequently Asked Questions
Mentor sessions are available in multiple languages, including English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, and Afrikaans. In addition to those who live in the U.S. and Canada, we have mentor coaches and business owners who live in Italy, Ireland, Tunisia, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Portugal, and Korea. Finally, our mentors are part of an extensive network of CrossFit coaches and affiliate owners around the globe, and often, if they don’t have an answer to one of your questions, they can find someone who does.
Each session or package is customized to fit your unique needs and goals. From the moment you register, you’ll have the chance to share key details about your challenges and aspirations with your mentor. Together, you’ll create a clear, actionable plan to help you make real progress. No guessing, no vague advice — just a focused, personalized strategy designed to get you closer to your goals. You’ll have a mentor guiding you every step of the way, ensuring you’re always on the path to success.
This will depend on the challenge you’re facing. One session might be enough if you’re struggling to connect with your athletes and need guidance on improving your presence and attitude during and after class. If you’ve outgrown your systems or need a strategy for building a stronger culture at your gym, signing up for five sessions is probably a better fit. That said, you can always start with one, and if you love it — and we think you will — you can sign up for more.
In addition to your one-hour one-on-one session(s), your mentor will build an individualized program to ensure you get the best experience possible and see results. Just as you spend time outside of class preparing a lesson plan or thinking about how to bring in more members, your mentor will have your issues on their mind throughout the duration of your relationship. And, if questions arise outside of your scheduled hour(s), your mentor will be available to answer them via email (within reason, of course).
Finally, the course has an online component that includes tips and tricks to get the most out of your mentorship and suggested homework to help you prepare for your sessions. While this online portion is only available in English right now, for those who speak other languages, your mentors will ensure you get the same content everyone else gets, even if they deliver it differently. Another bonus worth noting is that our mentors will also leverage resources and content from HQ to help you get the most out of your sessions.
The great thing about the CrossFit Mentor Program is you can schedule calls to suit your schedule. Once you purchase sessions, they are yours to schedule whenever it works for you. We recommend one to two monthly calls so you have time to implement some of the learnings and tools your mentor provides, but you can schedule them whenever you want (we know life is busy). Once you register, you have six months from the date of purchase to complete your sessions.
Pairing people with mentors happens in one of two ways. If you already know who you’d like to work with, you can request that person after you purchase your session(s). If you’re not sure who to choose, we’ll review the information you send us about your situation and pair you up with the mentor we think is the best fit.
If you get paired with a mentor and you don’t hit it off, email us at crossfitmentorprogram@crossfit.com and we’ll set up a time to understand what you’re looking for so we can switch you to a different mentor.
Yes, you may invite additional coaches/staff members to mentorship sessions. However, CEUs are currently only available to the individual who purchases the mentorship sessions.
Email us at crossfitmentorprogram@crossfit.com, and we’ll set up a time to discuss your situation and determine whether this is the right program for you.
Yes. You must hold a current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) credential or higher.
