Since he was 10 years old, Tyson Bagent grew up in his father’s CrossFit affiliate.
It wasn’t long before he started embracing challenges, pushing past his limits, and persevering in the face of adversity — all qualities seen in a CrossFit gym that he would later invoke on the collegiate football field as a record-breaking Division II quarterback for Shepherd University.
CrossFit fostered confidence within Bagent, empowering him to be the best version of himself possible. Combined with his willingness to put in the work, Bagent is living his dream as a professional quarterback for the Chicago Bears in the NFL.
“You take a 10-year-old kid whose dad owns a CrossFit gym, you see him grow up in the gym, and then because of this philosophy, he’s now the absolute king of the world here and living an absolute dream,” says Bagent’s father Travis about his son’s accomplishments.
Basic training. Bold Outcomes.
A record-breaking Division II football career, and now the ultimate dream: starting for the Chicago Bears as an undrafted rookie.
On Oct. 22, 2023, Tyson got his first NFL career start and led the team to a 30-12 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
In addition to breaking a 10-game home losing streak at Soldier Field, the undrafted free agent threw his first career touchdown, completed 21 of 29 passes for 162 yards with no turnovers, and received a game ball from coach Matt Eberflus.
