During pressing movements, engagement of the abdominals, obliques, and spinal erectors provides stability to the vertebral column from every direction. In this clip from Feb. 23, 2019, CrossFit Seminar Staff member Zac Pine (CF-L3) cues athletes to maintain a stable midline while also engaging the legs and glutes to create a solid platform from which to press overhead.
