After the identification of a fault, the trainer should provide a cue for correction.
Cues should fit the following criteria:
Short – Simple – Actionable – Specific
One simple, effective cueing strategy involves focusing on a body part and an action.
Examples:
- “Knees out”
- “Hips back”
- “Squeeze your butt”
- “Shoulders first”
