OVERVIEW
The CrossFit Weightlifting clinic is a one-day, in-person course designed to give CrossFit athletes and trainers an opportunity to get in-depth, expert instruction in Olympic weightlifting. Led by CrossFit’s Seminar Staff, this clinic is a hands-on learning experience where each participant will refine and execute the fundamentals of the snatch, clean, and jerk.
This one-day clinic is designed to give CrossFit athletes and trainers an opportunity to get in-depth, expert instruction in Olympic weightlifting to improve their proficiency in the snatch, clean, and jerk.
Each participant will receive immediate feedback, aiming to deepen their understanding of each movement, progression, and the points of performance. They will also have ample opportunity to engage in discussions about training, coaching, and programming these movements.
Participants will spend the day under the watchful eye of CrossFit Seminar Staff trainer and collegiate strength-and-conditioning coach Stephane Rochet (CF-L3). Rochet has nearly two decades of experience coaching people from beginners to D1 athletes.
PRICE
We’re excited to offer this clinic for the first time on Saturday, October 5, 2024. As we test the schedule and process, we’re offering this session free to the first 12 participants who register. In return, we’d love your feedback so we can improve and refine it before we offer it in cities across the country.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This clinic is a resource for coach and athlete development. Completion of the clinic does not result in a credential or certification to train others using the CrossFit methodology. If you are already a CrossFit Trainer or you become one in the future, you can (and should) apply what you learn in this clinic to your coaching practice.
- Attendees must have a CFID and will be asked to show a government-issued ID. The minimum age for attendees is 14. Individuals under the age of 14 are not permitted to attend the clinic.
