Scaling:

Unbroken on DL and PU. Almost scaled the DL further as my posterior chain was sore and tight from yesterday. Transitions between barbell and run start/finish were long, but it kept me from making a mess of my garage floor if you get what I mean.

Got mixed up on my rounds but I'm pretty sure I did 5. I went to a non-crossfit gym today and it was kinda funny. Men and woman lazily doing odds and ends while chatting... and that one guy in back going crazy.

275 is not the cake-weight it was 5 years ago, but these still went well.  First round unbroken, then 7-3 after.  Tried to move quickly on the runs but also recover a bit.  Broke push-ups 12-8 until last round (unbroken).

Globo wod: dumbbell sub 80/55lb dbs. If 50lb dumbbells are the heaviest available do 25/15 deadlifts (male/female). Run subs 250m row, 200m bike erg, 12 calories assault bike, 10 calories echo bike, 50 double unders, or 12 burpees. If you are using a conventional treadmill use a slight incline. Pushups are what they are. Busy gym do 50 deadlifts, 100 pushups, 1k run chipper style.

RANT

I want to challenge the instruction on the demo video talking about "be conservative" on the first few rounds, and the reason I want to is because I used to fall in that trap. "Being conservative" on a workout means you are doing that workout with the sole purpose of hitting the best time (or score), in other words, you are serving the workout, not using the workout to serve you and your needs. Is your endurance a limiting factor? Then forget being conservative! Sprint those runs and live with what happens after. Stamina? Go unbroken on push-ups as long as possible, even if that hurts your overall time. Yesterday was a benchmark. A test. This one is practice. Practice what you need.
