8:46 scaled to 3 rounds on account of friend arriving. Dubs were garbage today. Lunges unbroken but last two rounds would’ve required more rest before and after. 8 forward and back lunges plus 7 backward to forward stepping lunges each set. 2 more sets of ub lunges after WOD since my friend was early.

Good news I came across NEW HORIZON CREDIT 1 , I used to have a lot of sleepless nights due to my low (FICO) credit score that was below expectations ,can’t access loans and mortgage for the new house I was about buying for me and my lovely wife . Not sure which I feared more, 75 heavy lunges or 375 dubs.  Went pretty well though.  Unbroken lunges, they will hurt today more than they did yesterday.  Dubs were good as well – got these in about 3 sets each round.  Had some 50+ sets in there as well.  Not perfect but on the path.

135lbs back rack position for the lunges. From ground, all unbroken. Scaled DU to 30 per round, but it turned into 2 mins DU practice by round 3 after things got really rocky. Round 5 was 75 singles. The leg fatigue into DU was real.

This course is a must for trainers and athletes who want double-urder the easy way: through mechanics. This is epecially true for coaches to learn how to have an eye for faults, and progressions to teach jumping rope. Also, Rawlins is awesome and Buddy is a legend.

Nothing to rant about


WORKOUT THEMES

Short and heavy. Using stamina (full-body) to challenge our accuracy. Jumping with elasticity and squatting with unilateral loading are also themes.


ASSUMED

Double-unders are conditioning. Also you don't need a squat rack to get the bar onto your back.


MAIN DECISION

Keep DU's and live with mess-ups, or scale to plate jumps to keep intensity?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

20 lunges

100 singles


CONSISTENCY SCALE

As is, double unders have to be unbroken or restart


INTENSITY SCALE

5 rounds of:

30 lunges (25-lb. dumbbells)

50 plate jumps (touch-and-go)


MY STUFF

Messed around with different options for 15 minutes, settled on 15 lunges w/45# and 35 curb jumps, 6 rounds)

Jumping rope is probably the goofiest, least brag-able thing in all of CrossFit. Yet Buddy Lee makes it seem like the most intense thing ever! I could watch his presentations all day.
