7:30 -30 strict but not slow ring muscleups.

Just kept doing singles with no planned rest, except rechalking. Would’ve been slightly faster but I failed a transition on my last rep and had to redo it!


6:12 with kipping 9 years ago in the compare to link...Pretty confident I could beat that today.

trained on sunday and with a hungover. Best frined Nicolás birthday on a weekend house today so, decided to train at least something before grabbing the car and leaving for the day. Wasnt exactly feeling it for a crushing wod and was pretty short on time so decided to go for 30 pullups, 30 dips and a couple bar muscle ups to practice a at least a bit of today rx stimulus. All in under 10 min including warm up (a couple of kip swings and chalking my hands) was a pretty decent day of training for me today. Was able to nail 4-5 bar muscle up without chickenwinging it and leading with active shoulders and lats.


A lot of fun with friends later on.

Hope you guys are having fun while doing these mainsite beauties.

6 BMUs unbroken in 21 sec. (consistently) & then, rest for the remainder of the minute. 30 BMUs in 4:20. Should’ve rested less could’ve probably got in the 3 min range. Steel bar outside in the snow. tried to not let my hands rip.

2 km run uphill to the nearest street workout park (there's no other option for me to do pullups since I closed my box)

60 kipping pullups (didn't do them for quite a while and I didn't feel my fingers from the frosty metal bar)

60 strict dips

2 km run back home to melt down


This only shows me the we Crossfitters are unbreakable and nothing can stop us. Am I right?

And also, how you can adjust workouts to your needs.

(but one day I will do those freaking 30 muscle ups).

I did the long version due to my limited muscle ups skills. I'm no crossfit expert but somehow managed to complete it in 45m31s... Yeah!


I'm 38m/188lbs/6'1. Did strict pullups and dips as my hands were still sored from previous workouts. Mainly alternating singles with a few seconds pauses every 5 reps or so.


Simply hope this can motivate other rookies like me to do the workout even thouh it is terryfing at a first look. Rookie tip: one rep at a time and never give up!


What a good way to start the day, don't you think?

WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENTS

Muscle-up - scaling an obstacle by using the entire body, emphasis on pulling and pushing with the arms


WHAT ABOUT THE FORMAT

This workout was originally designed as a test similar to Isabel with the basis of, "Can anyone actually complete this?" It's a cool testament to see how far CrossFit has pushed the limits of fitness.


TECHNIQUE SCALE

Check out Carl Paoli's muscle-up progressions. Practice for 30 minutes.


CONSISTENCY SCALE

120 dips/pull-ups

or

Do the 30 muscle-ups but do them in as few sets as possible with longer rest in between


INTENSITY SCALE

6 rounds of:

Sprint 50 meters

5 muscle-ups

*rest as needed between


MY STUFF

11:08 as rx'd. More towards the consistency scale and kept with sets of 5 or 6.
