Macro view template analysis
Workouts Structure:
First day followed “For Time” template. This exercise was a single modality that includes a sprint row from metcon modality. The main focus of this WOD was on the quality and speed of the 500 m run. Trainers should encourage athletes to run with their all-out effort and improves their sprint record. Speed played the major role in this WOD. Moreover, the lactic acid was the dominant energy pathway in this program.
Second day followed “For Time” template. This exercise was a triplet modality that combines a sprint run from metcon modality with a moderate weightlifting movement and moderate skill gymnastic movement. The distance and reps of this program were high. This WOD was challenging the
mental and muscular fatigue and improves the fatigue capacity. Athletes need a high motivation to finish this program. This WOD teaches fighting until the last moment. This program teaches fighting in the worst moments of life. Cardiorespiratory endurance, strength and stamina played the major role in this WOD. Moreover, the aerobic was the dominant energy pathway in this program.
Third day followed “tabata”; it was a subset of AMRAP template. This exercise was a single modality that includes 4 gymnastic movements. This exercise was focused on improve the power by increasing the worked reps in 20 sec sections. The training purpose was to improving the lactate
tolerance and as a result reduces the drop power. Stamina and cardiorespiratory played the major role in this WOD. Moreover, the lactic acid system was the domain energy pathway.
Conclusion
In this cycle:
The combinations of M; MWG and G have been used, respectively.
7 movements were used.
Two single modality days were used in this cycle.
No couplet modality can be seen in this cycle.
Weightlifting modality used just for one day.
All 3 programs takes about more than 15 min.
Overall, 2 energy pathways (lactic acid and aerobic) were challenged in this cycle. Moreover, the speed, cardiorespiratory endurance, strength and stamina played the major role in this circle of programming.
As a final note, “For Time” and “AMRAP” templates were used for programming in this cycle.
